LAHORE: Two accused persons have reportedly escaped from the lock-up at Gulshan-e--Ravi Police Station.
Following the incident, a case against a head constable for negligence has been registered. According to police officials, the escape occurred when Head Constable Naseeb allegedly left the lock-up open intentionally, allowing the prisoners to flee.
The case against the head constable was registered based on the statement of Sub-Inspector Karamat Ali, who indicated that the prisoners had been detained on various charges prior to their escape. Police are now searching for the escaped prisoners.
Girl raped
A girl suffering from psychological problems was allegedly gang-raped by a fake peer who claimed to counter black magic in the Shad Bagh area.
According to the FIR registered at the local police station, the accused, Javed, had put up banners in Shad Bagh advertising his services to counter black magic. \
After seeing the banners, the victim’s family contacted him for treatment. Javed began visiting the family’s home to conduct rituals, claiming that he would help to heal the girl. Over the course of several days, he continued to visit, often accompanied by his accomplice, Asghar, and Asghar’s wife. During this time, Javed and his accomplice allegedly raped the girl. A case was registered against Javed and his accomplice.
