Two women among four killed in separate incidents

Four people, including two women, were killed in separate incidents of violence and street crime across Karachi on Friday.

In the Gulshan-e-Maymar area, a security guard was shot dead. Police reported that the incident occurred near Gulshan-e-Maymar Morr, where unknown assailants opened fire on 26-year-old Arifullah, who was identified as the victim.

Witnesses stated that as Arifullah exited a rickshaw, two attackers approached him and fired three shots before fleeing. Authorities confirmed no robbery took place and an investigation was ongoing.

Earlier, in Mehmoodabad, a man was killed and another injured while resisting a robbery near Al Barkat Restaurant. The deceased was identified as 36-year-old Amir, while the injured party was 38-year-old Mumtaz. Police reported the incident stemmed from a mugging attempt, and a case had been registered.

In another incident, a 22-year-old woman, Labia, was stabbed to death in her home in Shah Faisal Colony due to a personal dispute. She was transported to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, and police were conducting further investigations.

Additionally, a teenage girl, identified as 18-year-old Razia, was shot and killed in Orangi Town’s Khairabad area over a personal dispute. Her body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, and police had registered a case as investigations continue.
