LAHORE: Additional Inspector General (AIG) Traffic Police has announced the continuation of special licensing facilities for motorcyclists across the province.

According to a traffic police spokesperson, more than 900,000 driving licences were issued to motorcyclists last month, with over 400,000 individuals obtaining regular driving licences. The spokesperson further reported that over 234,000 motorcyclists received learning licences, while more than 266,000 renewed either their learning or regular licences during the same period. Faisalabad Traffic Police led the province in providing these licensing services to motorcyclists, setting an example for other districts.

The spokesperson added that motorcyclists were being issued regular licences after the completion of the mandatory 42-day period for learning licences, ensuring they can drive confidently and safely on the roads. This initiative aims to promote road safety and proper driving practices among motorcyclists.
