KARACHI: Brigadier Muhammad Asad, administrator of the Pakistan Economic Zone Development and Management Company (PEZDMC), announced on Friday that the Malir Industrial Park (MIP) aims to stimulate industrial activity and enhance economic stability in Karachi.

During a visit to the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), he revealed that land allotment in the industrial park will be finalized within 48 hours, providing industrialists with flexible payment terms and instalment options. The project is expected to generate over 200,000 jobs within its first five years.

Brigadier Asad confirmed that KATI will be included in the advisory council for Malir Industrial Park to ensure effective stakeholder input. He emphasized the importance of one-window operations to streamline processes for industrialists and investors, facilitating quick access to necessary services.

The administrator highlighted that the industrial park will offer uninterrupted infrastructure, water supply and utilities, setting it apart from other zones in Karachi. Security systems will also be upgraded to ensure a safe environment for businesses to operate confidently.“We will incorporate KATI’s suggestions into the master plan for Malir Industrial Park, making it an ideal industrial zone,” stated Brigadier Asad.
