ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has achieved a success in increasing its exports to Afghanistan during the current financial year.
In September, Pakistani exports to Afghanistan increased by 94 percent on an annual basis and by 44 percent on a monthly basis, while exports to Afghanistan in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, from July to September, have increased by 59 percent.
According to government sources, the volume of Pakistani exports to Afghanistan in September was 12.8 million dollars, while in September 2023, exports to Afghanistan were 6.6 million dollars. In August 2024, the volume of exports to Afghanistan was 8.9 million dollars.
According to the report, exports to Afghanistan in July-September 2024 were more than 32 million dollars and the volume of Pakistani exports to Afghanistan in the same period last year was 201.3 million dollars. There was a decrease after which the volume of imports from Afghanistan during July to September 2024 was 151.7 million dollars.
