The gas connection in our area is highly unreliable, with the gas supply prone to random disruptions regardless of the season. This is even the case in those households where the bills are paid in full. How are people supposed to live in such an abysmal state? The ground realities are far different than what our political leaders portray by providing incorrect details to international donors and other organisations.
The country’s capital has been in a constant lockdown or siege-like atmosphere for almost a month now. If this is what successful governance looks like, I wonder just how bad a failed state can be.
