PESHAWAR: Advisor to Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ai Saif on Thursday expressed concern over the alleged kidnapping of PTI MNA Zain Qureshi’s wife and termed the move fascism and an act unprecedented in its severity.

Barrister Saif accused the Sharif family of relying on state oppression to maintain power. He emphasized that the remnants of Nawaz Sharif’s political career would be buried by none other than his own family members, particularly Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz.

He condemned the federal and Punjab governments as illegitimate, accusing them of routinely violating the constitution, law, and human rights. The CM aide warned that the Form-47-based government was secretly conspiring against the Constitution of Pakistan. He highlighted concerns over unconstitutional amendments being made to undermine democracy in the country. Saif affirmed that PTI’s leadership and workers would mount both legal and political resistance against any such amendments. “We will not allow anyone to tamper with the Constitution of Pakistan,” he asserted.

Furthermore, Barrister Saif also condemned the restrictions placed on PTI founder Imran Khan, labeling the ban on visits from his legal team, family, and other associates as a severe violation of human rights.

Saif stated that the illegitimate government, established through conspiracies, will be held accountable for its oppression.Meanwhile, Barrister Saif, in a statement, expressed disappointment over the Punjab government’s focus on blaming PTI rather than investigating the actual incident of Punjab College. He criticized the administration for failing to bring the real culprits to justice, while students protesting for their rights were subjected to violence.

Barrister Saif asked Uzma Bukhari and the Punjab administration to focus on conducting a transparent investigation into the incident. He pointed out that it was the Punjab police who used force against students seeking justice.
