PESHAWAR: Three ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders turned to the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday to obtain transit bail.
Adviser to KP Chief Minister on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, Mashal Yousafzai and Wazir Zada submitted the applications to the PHC for the purpose. The applicants contended that cases were registered against them in Islamabad and Punjab.
They said they wanted to appear in the courts but feared arrest.The PTI leaders requested the PHC to grant them transit bail so that they may appear in the courts.
The applicants requested the PHC to order the authorities to provide them with the details of the cases registered against them and stop their arrest in any first information report. Mashal Yousafzai was a special assistant in the KP cabinet after the formation of the PTI government in the province, this year. She was, however, removed from the cabinet over a controversy.Wazir Zada belongs to the Kalash community of Chitral. He was a cabinet member in the pr vious PTI government.
