KARACHI: Mahnum Kabir, wife of PTI leader Zain Qureshi, returned home safely in the early hours of Thursday, hours after Qureshi’s sister Meher Bano Qureshi said on social media platform X that her sister-in-law had been abducted by masked men.
“Alhamdulillah, I have safely reached home. I want to thank everyone for your concern prayers,” Kabir said in a tweet at 1:35am.
Earlier, Meher Bano Qureshi had announced in a tweet that her sister-in-law had been picked up from near their home by masked men in plain clothes and multiple cars. “Two cars blocked her car and took her away forcefully. They have not been able to break us for the last year and a half despite all kinds of threats and are now resorting to such low level tactics.”
She had further said: “Mine & my family’ faith in Allah is unbreakable. He will see us & Pakistan through this fascism.”
