HYDERABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Jam Khan Shoro has said that the party’s public meeting in Hyderabad on Friday will prove that democracy is strong in the country and people have the power.
He said this after reviewing the arrangements for the public meeting that would be held in Hyderabad on October 18 to pay homage to the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy. He said that political parties were sitting and it was a breakthrough. He added that those who said they would not sit with anyone had weakened democracy. Shoro recalled that Benazir Bhutto was targeted 17 years ago on October 18 and many PPP workers sacrificed their lives that day. He said the public meeting was being held at the important moment of history when the constitution was going to be amended.
