A motorcyclist was killed on the spot after being hit by a speeding water tanker near Shama Shopping Center in Shah Faisal Colony on Wednesday.
An angry mob thwarted the driver's attempt to flee the scene and protested against the accident. The protest subsequently led to the complete blockage of the road connecting Korangi to Sharae Faisal.
Following the incident, police and rescue teams arrived to disperse the protesters, allowing vehicular traffic to resume. The body of the deceased motorcyclist was transported to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for autopsy. As of the time of this report, the identity of the victim had not been confirmed.
