Tailor injured in Korangi clash dies

After struggling for two days, he passed away while receiving treatment

Karachi: A tailor injured during an armed clash between two groups in Korangi’s Awami Colony succumbed to injuries on Tuesday while undergoing treatment.

The funeral prayers for Muhammad Junaid, a 21-year-old son of Sajjad, were held near Allah Wali Masjid in Awami Colony, and he was laid to rest in the Bagh Korangi graveyard.

The victim’s family stated that he had no affiliation with any religious party; however, the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat claimed he was associated with it.

According to the family, Junaid was on his way home after closing his shop when a stray bullet struck him during the clash. Around half a dozen others were also injured in the incident.

After struggling for two days, he passed away while receiving treatment.

Police said a case had been registered, and more than half a dozen suspects had been arrested.
