LAHORE:Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) has denied the occurrence of any incident like the Punjab College. A LCWU spokesperson, however, said a committee comprising senior members of the university, had been formed to investigate a harassment complaint lodged by a student against a staff member.
‘The staff member is allegedly involved in misbehaving and stalking. The staff member has been suspended with immediate effect. This inquiry is being conducted in accordance with the policies of the Higher Education Commission and the Punjab government on harassment,’ reads a press release. The spokesperson further said LCWU remained committed to ensuring a thorough and transparent process and providing a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for all students. ‘We urge everyone to avoid spreading unverified news and information,’ the release added.
