LAHORE: Following a call by the Pakistan Tehreek—e-Insaaf (PTI) for a protest in Islamabad while the the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit gets under way, the police have arrested 35 PTI workers listed as the wanted from various areas of the city. The operations were carried out by the police, investigation, and Organised Crime Unit. Raids took place in Defence, Kot Lakhpat, Johar Town, Township, Mustafa Town, Islampura, Sanda, Mughalpura, and other locations. It is important to note that the SCO Summit is set to be held in Islamabad on October 15 and 16.
Meanwhile, the PTI’s political committee has announced a protest at D Chowk on October 15.
