MARDAN: All Pakistan Clerks Association (Apca) General Secretary Aurangzeb Kashmiri has called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister to ensure the immediate recovery of Muqarab Khan Wazir, an SDO from the C&W Department in Tank, and his colleagues.
Speaking to the media, Kashmiri expressed grave concern over the abduction, stating: “Government employees are being kidnapped in broad daylight, and ransoms worth crores of rupees are being demanded for their release.”
He criticised the deteriorating law and order situation, where public servants are left without protection.Kashmiri explained that Muqarab Khan Wazir and his colleagues were abducted while on duty, with their captors later posting their pictures on social media. “This act is a direct challenge to the writ of the provincial government and law enforcement agencies,” he added.
He demanded immediate action from Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and the IGP of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to secure the safe return of the kidnapped officials. Kashmiri warned that if the government failed to act swiftly, Apca would shut down C&W Department offices across the province and stage protests until the safe recovery of Muqarab Khan and his colleagues.
