LAHORE:On the instructions of the chief minister, Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) teams were active for patchwork of important highways here on Sunday.
LDA DG Tahir Farooq visited different areas, including Multan Road, Sabzazar, Shalimar Link Road and Jail Road. He reviewed the ongoing patchwork works. On this occasion, Chief Engineer TEPA Iqar Hussain gave a briefing on the patchwork works. Around 12 teams of Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency and LDA were working in different LDA controlled areas in two shifts and so far cleared patchwork and potholes at more than 950 places.
LDA DG said in the first phase patchwork was being completed on 95 main highways of the controlled area. He said that LDA teams were patching in different blocks of Johar Town, PIA Road, BOR, Ghazan Road, Khayaban Ferdowsi and Gulberg while TEPA teams were doing patchwork work on Multan Road, Sabzazar, Jail Road, Shalimar Link Road and Egerton Road.
