LAHORE: The 28th Boys and 23rd Girls National Age Group Swimming Championships on day two on Saturday saw several national records being broken.
The championships showcased young swimming talent from across Pakistan in four age groups: 10 and under, 12 and under, 14 and under, and 16 and under.
Mustafa Maqbool (Sindh) set new national records in the boys 10 and under in 50m freestyle (31.60 seconds) and 100m freestyle (1:12.88).
Zayan Ali Khan (Punjab) established a new national record in the boys 10 and under in 50m backstroke (40.73 seconds).
Aban Kashif (Punjab) broke the national record in the boys 12 and under in 200m breaststroke (3:01.96).
Dayyan Kashif (Punjab) set a new national record in the boys 14 and under in 200m breaststroke (2:40.87).
Syed Muhammad Daniyal Hatim (Army) broke the national record in the boys 16 and under in 200m freestyle (2:01.46). Team Punjab set a new national record in the boys 16 and under in 4x100m medley relay (4:29.69).
Zoya Omair Kazi (Sindh) established new national records in the girls 12 and under in 200m and individual medley (2:53.62) as well as 200m breaststroke (3:12.49).
Hareem Malik (Sindh) broke national records in the girls 16 and under in 400m individual medley (5:47.79) and 200m breaststroke (2:58.91).
