Yousuf, Mona to compete in Toronto, Venice marathons

KARACHI: Proudly carrying the hopes of a nation, the duo of Mohammed Yousuf Malik and Mona Khan prepares to leave the shores of the country to participate in marquee marathon races taking place this month.
Yousuf Malik, an acclaimed marathon runner hailing from Kashmir’s capital city Muzaffarabad, and Mona Khan, a journalist and TV anchor by profession, will be making history of sorts by participating in the TCS Toronto Marathon, due to be held in Canada on October 20. They will then head to Europe to run in the Venice Marathon on October 27 where they will be competing with runners from over 120 countries.
