PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Saturday expressed concern over the wellbeing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan
In an official handout, he said that the safety and health of Imran Khan was his top priority and remained his foremost concern.
He noted that PTI leaders and party workers were deeply worried about the health of the former prime minister and demanded the federal government to arrange a meeting between Imran Khan and his team of doctors and legal advisors.
Gandapur also called for the release of Imran Khan’s sisters and other detained party workers. He said the PTI leadership and supporters were anxious about Imran Khan’s condition and urged authorities to address these concerns without delay.
The chief minister warned that failure to provide clarity on Imran Khan’s well-being could force the party to resort to protest. “We must be given immediate answers about Imran Khan’s health and we should not be pushed towards protest,” he said.
