ISLAMABAD: A petition has been moved in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday against the registration of cases and arrest of KPK government employees for participating in Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s protest march.
It prayed the court to issue directives to terminate the FIR registered by Sangjani Police Station Islamabad against the KP government employees and return the seized vehicles owned by the KPK government. The petition has named the Inspector General of Police ICT, DIG, SSP and SHO Police Station Sangjani as respondents. The petition said that the government servants were performing their duties and participating in a peaceful protest staged by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. The officials and government-owned vehicles belonged to the chief minister’s protocol, it said. The Islamabad police had arrested the government servants and vehicles along with the protesters, it said.
