ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has restrained the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) from issuing the final merit list of the MDACT examination and adjourned the hearing of the case until October 28.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of the IHC issued a stay order on petitions filed by students. The court, while issuing notices to the PMDC and other respondents for October 28, has sought their replies.
In their petition, the students claimed that 30 out of 200 questions in the test were incorrect. They argued that the results of MDCAT test, which will determine admissions to medical colleges, should not be used. They requested that medical colleges be restrained from proceeding further in the admission process. The hearing of the case was adjourned until October 28.
It is pertinent to mention that there were reservations about the MDCAT test results.
