Two youths drown
LAHORE
Two youths drowned in different parts of the city on Sunday. A 17-year-old youth, Zain, drowned in a swimming pool in the Shafiqabad area.
He had gone to a private swimming pool to beat the heat. He jumped into the pool and drowned. Police have registered a case against the pool owner for not taking appropriate rescue measures.
Meanwhile, a boy, unidentified so far, drowned while he was swimming with his friends in the canal near Jallo Morr.
Both bodies have been removed to morgue.
Two bodies found: Two men, unidentified so far, were found dead in different areas of the city on Sunday.
A 64-year-old man was found dead in the Lorri Adda police jurisdiction and a 22-year-old youth in the area of Data Darbar police. Respective police claimed both men were addicts who might have died of overdoses of drugs. The bodies have been removed to morgue.
Boy, sister die in accident: A boy and his sister were killed and three other people injured when a speeding car hit two bikes in the Kahna area on Sunday. A rashly-driven car hit the bikes, injuring five people. The injured were rushed to hospital where two of them, Gulfam and his sister Farzana, succumbed to their injuries. The bodies have been removed to morgue.
