LAHORE:University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Vice Chancellor Dr Shahid Munir on Thursday held a meeting with international students to address their concerns.
Students from various countries, including Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Palestine, and Kenya highlighted the issues they are facing in their hostels. They raised concerns related to their academic, residential, and other basic needs. The vice chancellor listened attentively and assured them that the university administration would take immediate steps to address their problems.
In his address, Dr Shahid Munir acknowledged the contribution of international students, calling them a valuable asset to the university. He noted that their presence strengthens UET's international standing. He emphasised the university’s commitment to fostering mutual understanding between different nationalities and cultures and assured that all student issues would be resolved promptly. Dr Shahid further stated that the welfare and academic development of international students were among the university's top priorities. He stressed that the experience of international students at UET should be positive and enjoyable, and the university would continue to offer full support to them.
