LAHORE:Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique participated as a special guest in an event organised by King Edward Medical University (KEMU) on World Sight Day here on Thursday.
He visited the eye screening campus and stalls. Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology Professor M Moin gave a briefing to Khawaja Salman Rafiq about stalls.
The minister and Parliamentary Secretary Rushda Lodhi also met visually impaired children, gave gifts and expressed good wishes. Khawaja Salman Rafique said that the purpose of observing the day was to raise awareness among people.
Meanwhile, the minister attended the Lahore Youth Festival ceremony at King Edward Medical University as a special guest. Speaking on the occasion, he said, ‘the youth are our future and they have to take the reins of Pakistan tomorrow. We pray that our youth will be a source of honour for Pakistan.’
