ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari is going to Turkmenistan today (Thursday) on a two-day official visit where he will participate in the international forum to be held in Ashgabat, it has been learnt.
He has been invited for this visit by his Turkmen counterpart. Many world leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin are participating in the forum on the topic of peace and development in the context of global cooperation.
Although, official meetings of the president of Pakistan with other leaders are not scheduled, the possibility of a meeting with leaders on the sidelines cannot be completely rejected.
