ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), led by party chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, met the JUIF chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence on Wednesday.
The PTI delegation comprising Salman Akram Raja, Hamid Khan, Raoof Hassan and Akhunzada held discussion with the JUIF leadership on the country’s political situation with particular reference to the constitutional amendment.

He said the JUIF chief had saved the nation and the nation would soon hear good news. He claimed that all the PTI parliamentarians were in contact with the party leadership.
Meanwhile, Maulana Fazlur Rehman condemned the use of force against the participants of a Jirga in in Khyber and Wana adding that such handling of matters would deteriorate the situation. In a statement, the JUIF asked the government and the state not to complicate the situation and hear the grievances of tribes in Khyber and Wana. “The issues can be resolved only through talks,” he said. He said jirgas, demonstrations and sit-ins are “beauty of democracy” and the government need not worry.
