BANNU: Employees of the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Bannu, including women pensioners, held a protest rally against the non-payment of salaries and pensions for the past three months.

The protest was staged outside the TMA offices. Later, they marched towards the Bannu Press Club, where the demonstrators blocked the Regal Cinema Road to traffic while chanting slogans against the provincial and district administrations.

The protest was led by local government representatives, including Hafiz Karim Dad Khan, Provincial Vice President of the Local Government Employees Federation, Chairman Malik Tariq Khan, Pensioners Association President Mir Khatim Gul, and Syedzada Hayat Khan.Addressing the protesters, they shed light on the financial difficulties being faced by the TMA employees due to the prolonged delay in salary and pension payments, which they said had left families struggling to survive.Criticizing the provincial government, the protesters said the TMA staff performed duty but they were not getting paid.
