‘Pak going towards right direction
to overcome energy crisis’

FAISALABAD: Pakistan is going towards right direction to overcome loadshedding by using latest technology.
It was said by Mr Zheng Li, who headed a delegation of the Asian Development Bank while visiting the Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) Headquarters here on Sunday. The delegation reviewed the electricity development projects being completed with the support of the ADB. Mr Zheng Li expressed satisfaction over the speed of development works being completed with the ADB loan and expected that all projects would be completed with the same pace in future so that positive impacts of these projects could be helpful for agriculture and industrial sectors. Earlier, Fesco CEO Rashid Ahmed Aslam welcomed the delegation and told that six new grid stations were being constructed while development work on 40 existing grid stations was underway with the help of the ADB. He told that first GIS city grid station Faisalabad and AIS 132KV Shahbaz Khel Mianwali would be completed till March 2017 while work was in progress for upgradation of four 66-KV grid stations. He expressed satisfaction over the performance of the Project Management Unit (PMU) and directed that there should be no compromise over the quality of the development projects. ADB consultant Mr Robert, General Manager Operation Masood Salahuddin, Chief Engineer Sheikh Jahangir, Director Procurement Eng Baqir Riaz, Director Project Finance Nazir Ahmed and other officers were also present.
