I recently visited Thailand where I used some multinational products that are also available in Pakistan. I was shocked by the difference in quality between the same products. Automobiles of the same brand and model had many more new technologies and safety features compared to what is available in Pakistan. While FMGC products like shampoo, deodorants, toothpaste, soaps etc were of superior quality and improved my skin and hair as I used them in Thailand. While some products were of the same price in Pakistan, they did not match the look, the smell and even the results. Similarly, food products in Thailand of the same brands available in Pakistan had less sugar, less colours and more vitamins in them.
I think this is because the Thai government conducts strict checking of all multinational and foreign company products through third party professional laboratories and has also created standards for vehicles, FMGC foods etc, which they strictly enforce to ensure their population get the best quality products for their daily use. I therefore request the government to issue and enforce higher standards for products and ensure the people of Pakistan get the best quality products at reasonable prices.
