KARACHI: The American Business Council of Pakistan (ABC) has announced its new executive committee for the 2024-2026 term, which will play a pivotal role in fostering strong bilateral trade and investment ties between the US and Pakistan, according to a statement released on Tuesday.
CEO and Country Manager of DuPont Pakistan Operations (Pvt) Ltd Kamran Ataullah Khan has been elected as the president of ABC. Sami Wahid, managing director of Mondelez Pakistan Limited, has been elected as the senior vice president, while Tushnamaity Patel, executive director of Al-HAMD International Container Terminal (Pvt) Ltd, will serve as vice president.
The executive committee further includes Managing Director and CEO of Abbott Laboratories (Pakistan) Ltd Syed Anis Ahmed; Director of Century Capital Ltd Scellina Asad; CEO of Corteva Agriscience Pakistan Ltd Talal Hakeem Khawaja; CEO of Gerry’s International (Pvt) Ltd Akram Wali Mohammad; Executive Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Pepsi-Cola International (Pvt) Ltd Syed Khurram Shah; CEO of PriceOye Technologies (Pvt) Ltd Adnan Shaffi; CEO of Shipco Transport Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd Asim Saeed Khan; and CEO of TRG (Pvt) Ltd Nadeem Elahi.
Secretary General of ABC Maliha Farooq welcomed the new executive committee: “We are confident that under the dynamic leadership of Kamran Ataullah Khan and the newly elected committee members, ABC will continue to foster an environment of collaboration and growth for American businesses in Pakistan.”
