ISLAMABAD: The lease period of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) House, Punjab House, Balochistan House has expired, sources in the Capital Development Authority (CDA) said. They said the lease period of more than 100 government buildings in Islamabad, including the Gilgit-Baltistan House, has expired.
The CDA sources further said that the lease period of the GB Houses had expired many years ago. Violations of bylaws were also carried out in these government buildings and the lease period has not been renewed due to bylaw violations. The Sindh House’s contract was renewed recently.
The CDA has sent several notices to the management of the government buildings concerned, but there is no response from the management of the buildings concerned, according to the sources.
They said the map of the NAB headquarters building is also not approved. The lease period of Islamabad’s old commercial markets had also expired many years ago. The lease period of more than 100 agro farms in Islamabad has also expired, they noted.
