LAHORE:Secretary Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial has revealed that 15,678 students have applied for the Punjab Chief Minister Internship Programme with 12,129 applications have been verified in the process.
He made this announcement while presiding over a meeting at the Punjab Stadium on Monday, attended by Director General Youth Affairs Punjab Pervez Iqbal, Bank of Punjab Chief Digital Officer Nofal Daud, Director Admin M Kaleem and officials from the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and the Bank of Punjab.
During the meeting, Muzaffar Sial highlighted the programme’s objective to support youth in contributing to the country's development. “Under this programme, Rs25,000 per month will be provided to six thousand graduates for six months,” he stated. He said that 58% of the applicants for the internship programme are women, reflecting a significant interest among female graduates in availing this opportunity.
