LAHORE:Police have arrested a man for torturing his son from Khushab. A complaint was received at Virtual Child Safety Centre from Khushab, alleging that a man had tied up his son with ropes, tortured him. In the complaint registered at the Virtual Centre for Child Safety, the caller stated that the man locked his son in a room after tying him with ropes.
Upon hearing the child’s cries, a neighbour contacted the police for help. The Virtual Centre for Child Safety immediately dispatched police to the scene. Upon arrival, police freed the child from the ropes and transferred him to hospital. Khushab police registered a case after arresting the man.
According to a Safe Cities spokesperson, the child told the police that his parents frequently mistreated him and that he no longer wished to live with them. The Virtual Centre for Child Safety placed the child in the protective custody of a relative. The police warned the parents against further mistreatment of the child.
Woman arrested for killing a man in Shahdara
A woman murdered a 52-year-old man with the abetment of her accomplices in the Shahdara Town area near Pindi Graveyard allegedly over a dispute on Monday. According to Edhi spokespersons, body of Abid bore torture marks when police recovered it.
Law enforcement and forensic teams arrived at the scene and after completing preliminary investigations, the body was transferred to the morgue. Shahdara Town police with the help of modern technology and CCTV footage traced accused Bushra, who in the footage was shown dumping the body outside the residence with her accomplices. SP City Qazi Ali Raza confirmed the arrest of Bushra and lauded Shahdara Town SHO Muhammad Raza and his team for their quick result-oriented action.
Four bodies found in different areas
Four unidentified bodies were recovered from different areas of City on Monday. According to an Edhi spokesperson, body of a 30-year-old man was found lying near Model Town courts.
In Kot Lakhpat locality, a 40-year-old man was found unconscious and died during treatment. Body of another 40-year-old man was found near Sadr Roundabout in north cantonment area. In the Manawan area, body of a 30-year-old man was recovered. The Edhi volunteers shifted the bodies to the morgue and police are investigating.
Four die in roadaccidents in 24 hours
Around four people died, whereas 1,509 were injured in 1,403 road accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 702 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 807 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
