There is no denying the fact that the national development of Pakistan lies in gender equality. Gender equality has significant importance because it significantly boosts socioeconomic outcomes. Despite the recognized benefits, several barriers hinder gender equality in Pakistan including cultural norms and practices, legal and institutional gaps and economic disparities.
In order to achieve gender equality and national development, Pakistan must make greater efforts to legal, financially and politically empower its women. By addressing gender disparities and empowering women, Pakistan can unlock its full potential and can achieve sustainable and inclusive growth.
