LAHORE:Moderate rain was recorded in the City during the early hours on Sunday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
The rain turned weather pleasant as mercury dropped, said Met officials, adding a shallow westerly wave was present over western and upper parts of the country and likely to strengthen from today (Monday).
They predicted rain-windstorm/thunderstorm in northeast / south Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar region and Gilgit Baltistan. Heavy falls/hailstorm may occur in northeast Balochistan and south Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Hot and dry weather is likely in other parts of the country. Rainfall was also recorded in various cities of the country. Sunday’s maximum temperature was recorded in Turbat where mercury reached 40°C.
