Fayaz clinches Men’s 50+ title at German Masters

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Fayaz Khan won the title in the Men’s 50-plus category of the German Masters 2024 held in Hamburg, Germany, on Sunday.
In the final of the 50+ category, Fayaz showcased his skill, defeating Ireland’s David Ayerst. He won convincingly with a score of 11-5, 11-6, 5-11, 11-8, clinching the title with a 3-1 victory.
In the semi-finals, Fayaz outclassed Denmark’s Mikkel Kragholm in three straight sets with a score of 11-8, 11-4, 11-7. In the quarterfinal match, he knocked out Germany’s Thomas Dörnhoff. In the first round match, Pakistan’s Fayaz dominated German Torge Strupat, winning 3-0.
