MUZAFFARGARH: Four people, including a child, died in a road accident near SandheelaChowk at Kot Addu on Sunday.
According to police, a family was heading towards Jannu village from Vehari by a rickshaw when a rashly driven car hit the three-wheeler on Head Taunsa Road, Kot Addu.As a result, rickshaw driver Riaz Hussain, Fozia Batool w/o Muhammad Ali, Shereen Akhtar w/o Riaz Hussain and child Talal s/o Muhammad Ali died on the spot. Police are investigating.
MAN DIES OF HEART ATTACK IN POLICE STATION: A man died of cardiac arrest at Daira Deen Pannah police station.
The police said on Sunday that Ajmal Channar came to the police station to assist another person in investigation of a land dispute when he suffered a heart attack and died. The police authorities ordered an inquiry into the matter.
ROBBERS INJURE SHOPKEEPER: Robbers injured a shopkeeper for putting up resistance at Khanpur Bagga Sher in the limits of Sadr police station.
The police said on Sunday that Abdul Sattar was present in his shop when two robbers attacked him to snatch Rs 100,000, but he offered resistance to them. It infuriated the dacoits and they shot at and injured him. The dacoits decamped with the money. The police are investigating.
