ISLAMABAD: Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at PM House here on Friday.
The KP governor discussed with premier the security challenges in the province and ongoing political situation.
The sources said that the governor met the prime minister on directives of the top PPP leadership. Faisal Kundi, however, will remain in Islamabad till receiving further directives.
Speculations of change of KP governor and imposition of Governor Rule were also circulating in the federal capital.
There was no official word from PM House regarding the meeting.
Meanwhile, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, the parliamentary leader of PMLN in the Senate also called on the prime minister and discussed political situation with him. Irfan Siddiqui apprised the prime minister of party’s performance in the Senate and details of his meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad.
