ABU DHABI: The construction of state-of-the-art consular service halls at the Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, has been completed.
These consular service halls are expected to be inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Abu Dhabi, told The News that for the convenience of Pakistanis living in Abu Dhabi, halls equipped with modern consular service facilities have been built in a short period of three months. He added that the consular halls will be formally opened in the next two weeks, with a seating capacity of 500 to 600 people.
He further mentioned that all consular services will now be provided under one roof in the newly constructed halls. A completely separate section has been dedicated to women.
The new consular halls also include a passport section, a NADRA counter for identity card applications and an attestation section. Moreover, photocopying and photography services will be available.Two banks have installed ATMs for the convenience of visitors using consular services, and there will also be a canteen near the halls.
