In anticipation of a significant religious ceremony at the Bagh-e-Jinnah (Polo Ground) on October 5 near Baradari at 7pm, the Karachi Traffic Police on Friday announced a comprehensive traffic diversion plan.
Officials stated that parking arrangements for attendees would be available at the YMCA Ground and DJ College ground. Those attending the event have been advised to use these parking areas.
Aiwan-e-Saddar Road would be closed to traffic from Fawara Chowk to Khajur Chowk during the programme. The public was encouraged to choose alternative routes to reach their destinations easily.
Alternative Routes
Traffic coming from Chundrigarh Road and Shaheen Chowk would be diverted via Ziauddin Road, Khajur Chowk to PIDC Chowk, or Club Road, proceeding left from Metropole to Clifton or Sharea Faisal, or from Shaheen Complex to MR Kayani Chowk to Zainab Market.
Traffic from Zainab Market would be redirected from Atrium Mall and Fawara Chowk Awari Signal to Sharea Faisal on the left and Teen Talwar to the right, Clifton. Additionally, no-parking zones would be enforced on both sides from Sindh Club Chowk Metropole to Fawara Chowk.
The public was requested to cooperate with law enforcement and traffic police to minimise disruption. For assistance, contact the Traffic Police Guide at 1915, or reach out via our social media (www.facebook.com/karachitrafficpolice) or WhatsApp at 03059266907. Stay updated through FM Radio 88.6.
