The Sindh PPP president told the meeting that elected representatives of the PPP were also present in the cantonment areas of Karachi. He said the public meeting in Hyderabad to commemorate the anniversary of the Karsaz tragedy would begin at 3 pm.

Speaking on the occasion, Karachi PPP President and Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani said a large number of office-bearers and activists of the PPP would attend the public meeting in Hyderabad.

He told the participants that demonstrations would be held under the aegis of the Karachi PPP in every UC in the city on October 7 to show solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine. He said activists and supporters of the PPP would gather on the evening of October 17 at the Karsaz tragedy monument on Sharea Faisal to pray for the departed souls who lost their lives in the Karsaz tragedy.

Committees at the divisional and district level had also been formed to finalise arrangements for an upcoming public meeting in Karachi, the meeting was told.
