Vandalism case against PTI leaders adjourned
ATC Judge issued a show-cause notice to Adiala Jail administration for failing to produce the PTI founder before him via video link
ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday adjourned the case against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and other people related to protests and vandalism of public property.
ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra, who presided over the case, issued a show-cause notice to the Adiala Jail administration for failing to produce the PTI founder before him via video link.At the outset of the hearing, a report was submitted to the court regarding the appearance of the PTI founder, stating that the accused could not be produced due to the unavailability of internet service.
In response, the court noted that a similar report had been submitted in the previous hearing and subsequently issued a show-cause notice to the jail administration.Co-accused Tanveer Hussain and Ali Nawaz Awan submitted requests for exemption from appearance, while accused Raja Khuram Shehzad, Aamer Mehmood Kayani, and Jamshed Mughal appeared before the court.
