PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Thursday ordered the relocation of courts from Tank and South Waziristan districts to Dera Ismail Khan due to the fragile security situation, said the sources.
The judicial officers from both districts were directed to shift to Dera Ismail Khan. The sources said PHC Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim approved the relocation of the courts citing the worsening security situation as the judicial officers and other government officials were coming under attack in the above-mentioned districts. It was learnt that apart from the judicial officers, the paralegal staff of the courts were directed as well to shift to Dera Ismail Khan and start working there till further orders. The sources said the courts would be shifted back to Tank and South Waziristan after the security situation improved there.
