MULTAN: The Punjab Chief Minister ordered the divisional administration to adopt a no tolerance, no compromise stance against violations of smog SOPs and ordered stern action against violators. In this regard, the divisional administration in Multan has taken stringent measures to prevent violations of smog SOPs, officials said on Thursday.
Commissioner Maryam Khan chaired a seminar to disseminate awareness on smog hazards, followed by an awareness walk, which was participated by students and civil society members at Government Girls High School Kalma Chowk. Assistant Commissioner City Abdul Samiya Sheikh also attended both the rally and seminar.
Speaking at the seminar at the girls’ school, Commissioner Maryam Khan emphasized the importance of taking precautionary measures in light of the changing weather. She noted that the Air Quality Index (AQI) necessitates widespread tree planting.
