ISLAMABAD: The Establishment Division has decided to amend the Occupational Groups and Services (Probation, Training and Seniority) Rules, 1990 on the instructions of the prime minister.

The Establishment Division issued a notification of all amendments to Rule 3 Sub Rule 1. The amendment states if a female probation officer becomes pregnant during or at the commencement of the Common Training Program (CTP), she should be allowed to defer the Common Training Program.

Such officers will be granted maternity leave under the Civil Services Academy Revised Rules, 1980 and they will be included in the next training programme.

These officers will have to submit a certificate from a competent medical officer indicating the expected date of delivery. When such officers join, the Civil Services Academy will transfer their services to their respective departments for further consideration.

Those officers will continue to do office work till the training program. The seniority of these officers will be protected and their seniority will be considered along with the officers with whom they passed the CSS exam.
