The body of a tortured woman was discovered within the premises of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medicare (JPMC) on Wednesday.
According to police, the body was found early in the morning in a park near the hospital’s mosque. The deceased, estimated to be around 45 years old, was yet to be identified. Authorities noted that her body showed signs of torture, including a slit throat.
In a separate incident, the beheaded body of a man was found near a garbage dump in the Old Haji Camp area, within the jurisdiction of the Napier police station. The body was transported to the Civil Hospital, Karachi. Police identified the victim as 20-year-old Ataullah, son of Fateh Muhammad, who originally hailed from Bajaur Agency but had been living in Karachi.
The man was reportedly killed with a sharp object at another location before his body was discarded near the garbage site. The victim’s head has not yet been found, and authorities believe the murder might be linked to a personal dispute or longstanding enmity. Further investigations are ongoing.
