LAHORE: The Bahria Enclave, Islamabad, will soon have Bahria Night Safari, which is going to be the first such facility in Pakistan.

According to the Bahria Town administration, they have already constructed a beautiful grand mosque and several recreational facilities – including Gold Cinema and zoo – are under construction. Thousands of people are now living in Bahria Enclave while enjoying a luxurious lifestyle.

The Bahria Town in collaboration with the CDA has also constructed a thoroughfare (along with the beautification of footpaths) to link Bahria Enclave with the main road on its own expense.

In this connection, a CDA official gave a detailed briefing to the Sub-committee of Land Secretariat of the Senate standing committee.

According to the CDA official (details available in the minutes of sub-committee’s meeting), the Bahria on the request of CDA has constructed a 1.5-km out of 3.5-km road to connect Kurri Model Village with the main highway, while the road and land is owned by the state. The CDA wants assistance from the Bahria Town-like philanthropic organisations to develop backward areas.

Moreover, footpaths have been constructed and streetlights installed by the Bahria Town along the two-lane road which is part of the CDA master plan.

The sub-committee was also informed that the Bahria Town has fulfilled the promise of constructing 3.5 kilometres long Jinnah Avenue to connect Chak Shahzad and Kurri Model Village with the main road.

The land for Bahria Enclave has been bought from the residents of Kurri village and other locals, the documents of which are available with the Bahria Town.

According to the Bahria Town, the land for the said project has purchased at the market rate. Not a single marla of state land is part of the Bahria Enclave and all the allegations of land grabbing are baseless.
