England arrive for Test series
LAHORE: The England cricket team touched down in Pakistan on Wednesday for a three-match Test series. The English side, led by all-rounder Ben Stokes, arrived to play a three-match Test series from October 7-28. This series is part of the World Test Championship cycle, where Pakistan currently sits at number eight on the points table, just ahead of the West Indies, following a recent 2-0 series loss to Bangladesh at home.
The England team will rest on October 2-3 before starting practice on October 4. Pakistan’s recent performances across all formats have drawn criticism from experts and fans alike. Critics have pointed to several factors contributing to the team’s struggles like lack of quality pitches and infrastructure in the country, frequent changes in the PCB’s management and lack of unity within the team.
