Terrorists distorting image of Islam: Mamnoon
ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday said that terrorists and misguided people were distorting the image of Islam through subversive acts.
While addressing the 10th convocation of the International Islamic University in Islamabad (IIUI) Mamnoon said that responsibility rests with Muslim scholars and researchers to propagate the true message of Islam which preaches peace, brotherhood and love. Certain misguided and bigoted elements have tainted the image of the great religion with their flawed theories, he said.
The president said that extremist tendencies and terrorism have inflicted a huge sufferings and pain on humanity and time has come to collectively foil their nefarious designs. The president also distributed degrees and awards among the students.
