PESHAWAR: A single-member bench of Peshawar High Court Justice Ijaz Anwar granted bail to four Afghan minors charged with gold smuggling. According to the prosecution, officials recovered 1227 grams of gold from four Afghan minors — Aysha, Asima, Faheema and Faheem — at the Pak-Afghan border.
The counsels for the petitioners, Shahid Raza Khan and Muhammad Bilal Daudzai advocates submitted to the court that the case was doubtful as no corroborative or direct evidence was brought on record by the border authorities against the four suspects who were underage and belonged to Afghanistan.
